Tourettes live 7-inch, lucky caaarnt!

It was 60 years ago this week that the first 7-inch single was manufactured in New Zealand and local music website Cheese On Toast is celebrating the fact.

On Saturday it holds the first of a regular monthly band-club night at the Bacco Room on Nelson St where a strictly limited edition 7-inch single will be released with a different act on each side. To commemorate the release - this could be the only time you get to buy it - the bands on the record will play live.

The first Cheese On Toast Singles Club will feature rapper/poet Tourettes and the Drab Doo Riffs, the sci-fi-soul-punk band fronted by Supergroove's Karl Stevens.

The split 7-inch released on the night will be made up of Tourette's I Think Maybe I Miss You and the Drab Doo Riffs' I Wanna Be Spock/Motorscoot Scoot.

Cheer Up Jay

I've been thrashing the soon to be released Jay Roacher album ever since I got the ruff mixes last week. At first I thought it was dope, then I decided it was super dope. Now I get excited everytime I hear it. It just keeps getting better and better. Cant wait to unleash this puppy on the public. Plus theres heaps of awesome tracks Jays not even gonna use on the album so keep eyes out for free downloads.
